The Itsy Bitsy Candy store is in full bloom!

Originally established in 2008 by Sheila Stauffer as a gift shop in Havre de Grace, Maryland by the name of "Treasures by the Bay." The popularity of the confections grew enough to move all operations to a new store in neighboring North East, Maryland as a dedicated Chocolate shop by the name of "North East Chocolates."

In 2012, a 24-year old Christie L. McDevitt was given the opportunity to purchase the existing business. Through that transition, she was led to discover a new location of itsy bitsy proportions that was absolutely perfect for a candy store. From 1,300 square feet down to 225 square feet, North East Chocolates was still able to offer just as many confections and three times the candy.

Nearly 13 years into ownership, Christie (known as "Ms. Wonka") had consistently felt a growing desire to further her education into chocolate and what makes it so contagious. As Christie leaves to study in Las Vegas under Amaury Guichon, she needed the perfect successor to take over the town's beloved candy store. Who better than her very own 'Charlie' -- the store's longtime Manager, Jennifer Heroux.

Jennifer has been slinging chocolate with us for 9 years. As she steps up to the lead role she plans on continuing the traditions of North East Chocolates while putting an Itsy Bitsy spin on new flavors, candies, and promotions!
